El Paso County grants Silicon Valley tech startup training incentives for Downtown shop by Aileen B. Flores El Paso Times

El Paso County Commissioners Court on Monday granted a $70,400 training incentive package to FiveStars Loyalty, a San Francisco-based technology company that will open a new office at the Chase Tower Building in Downtown.

The two-year incentive package will assist the customer service technology company in providing specialty training to about 50 employees that the company is set to hire in the next three months.

FiveStars officials have said the company will pay employees an average wage of $40,450 a year and will retain a minimum of 90 percent of its employees.

“Another nice benefit is that employees that are hired by the company that are local folks, not only are getting good salaries but they also are going to get this bonus by participating in this training that we’ve incentivized,” El Paso County Judge Ruben Vogt said.
